Frequently Asked Questions
Psychotherapy is a deeper process of exploration of your experiences and to understand how they have shaped you. It is about gaining insight into your own patterns and making meaning of them in your current context. It’s also about taking the time to understand your experiences—not just what happened, but how it truly felt.
This work isn’t about quick fixes or surface-level advice. It’s a slower, more meaningful journey of self-discovery—one that helps you build awareness, shift what no longer serves you, and move toward a more authentic way of being.
Person-centred therapy is a type of talk therapy that focuses on you—your thoughts, feelings, and experiences—without judgment. It’s based on the idea that you’re the expert on your own life, and with the right support, you can better understand yourself and make meaningful changes.
In this approach, the therapist isn’t there to give advice or fix you, but to really listen, offer empathy, and help you explore what matters to you—at your own pace, in your own way.
In person-centred therapy, I don’t usually give "homework"—I trust your ability to make choices that work for you. For some, homework can feel like being back in school, with all the pressure, shame, or power dynamics that come with it. Instead, I try to make our sessions feel more like real life, where you're learning to cope and reflect on your own.
Absolutely! You don’t have to be in crisis to seek therapy for yourself. In fact, it can be even more useful to do so at this point in order to explore what is going on for you, reflect on patterns in your life and work towards integrating this awareness. Not being in crisis mode is helpful for deeper work.
Therapy is a space to slow down and really get to know yourself—how you feel, how you cope, and the patterns you’ve developed in relationships and life. Together, we’ll look at where these patterns come from—family, past experiences, or just the way you’ve learned to move through the world.
It’s a non-judgmental space where you can feel seen, heard, and gently supported as you reflect on your experiences with empathy, not shame. This kind of reflection builds awareness—and that awareness can help you figure out what truly fits, what doesn’t, and how to make choices that feel more honest and aligned with the life you want to live.

Yes. With your consent, I am happy to work with your psychiatrist and have regular check ins with them about our sessions. As my client, you will be briefed on these conversations as well.
60 minutes.
You can still connect with me - I offer some sliding scale spots for those with genuine financial difficulties - the availability of this depends on the remaining spots for the same. If these spots are full, I will still help you with referrals to other therapists in your budget.
I offer both mediums and both are subject to available slots.
There is no set timeline to therapy. For some, it can be short-term, for others medium-term and long-term work is more suitable or preferable to deeply explore their concerns. Each client’s need and issue is unique. Generally, to get some help out of sessions, it is recommended to give it 6-12 sessions.
If this is the case, that is absolutely fine. Therapy is about your needs. Please bring what you are feeling to my notice and we can explore this in our sessions to see if we can continue to work together with some changes. Alternatively, I will help you with more referrals to other therapists who may be a better fit for you.
No, I do not offer couples therapy currently. However we can explore relational issues in individual sessions.
